The Witcher the best role-playing game of the year according to the PLAY monthly!

February edition of the PLAY monthly announced its list of 2007 best games. CD Projekt was the unquestionable winner with its games winning in no fewer than 5 categories!The games published by CD Projekt received awards in the following categories:

• Best Role-Playing Game: Witcher
• Best Strategy Game: World in Conflict
• Best Sports Game: Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
• Best Internet Game: World of WarCraft: The Burning Crusade
• Best Add-On Of The Year: Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts

It is worth noting that the above were not the only CD Projekt''s accolades - Supreme Commander finished runner-up in the Best Strategy Game category, Football Manager 2008 finished behind only Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 in the Best Sports Game category, Unreal Tournament placed third in the Best Internet Game ranking and Test Drive Unlimited ranked second amongst the Best Arcade Game nominees.

"I''m very happy that so many games published by CD Projekt were met with appreciation by the PLAY monthly''s editors. Particularly pleasing is of course the Best Role-Playing Game title given to the Witcher. Last year was very good for gamers and we''re happy that we were able to provide them with the largest number of great hits. I''m sure that this year will be even better in this respect" - was the comment on the results given by Krzysztof Szulc, CD Projekt''s Head of Marketing.
