- In the third quarter of 2016 the CD PROJEKT Capital Group posted 100.9 million PLN in sales revenues and 36.6 million PLN in net profit. The Group’s corresponding results over the first nine months of the year are 419.8 million PLN and 171.2 million PLN in sales revenues and net profit respectively.
- Since the beginning of the year the Company has spent 41 million PLN on projects under development.
The financial results of the CD PROJEKT Capital Group in Q3 2016 were dominated by continuing high sales of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and the game’s two expansion packs – Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.
Excellent sales of The Witcher 3 plus expansion packs, observed in the third quarter, confirm that despite having been out for a year and a half the game continues to attract new fans – remarks Piotr Nielubowicz, CFO at CD PROJEKT S.A. – I also trust that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition, prepared in anticipation of the holiday season, will be the perfect Christmas present for many gamers.
Over the three quarters of 2016, the Group’s expenditures on development of new games reached 41 million PLN. Since the beginning of the year the Group generated 158 million PLN in positive cash flows, including nearly 48 million in Q3 alone. Such liquidity enables the Group to fully focus on its ongoing development projects: GWENT: The Witcher Card Game and Cyberpunk 2077.
The third quarter was marked by preparations for the launch of the closed beta of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, which occurred on 25 October. In the coming months both the Studio and GOG will concentrate on testing and refining various aspects of the game.
